Since 2012, Rouge Pompier have nurtured their friendship and their duo rock band using a shared language: noise, influenced by the 90s, food, and pop culture. Over their many tours, the duo has grown stronger, particularly over lunches where Jess and Alex Pompier share stories, anecdotes, and secrets. It's this camaraderie and these shared experiences that fuel their song lyrics and make them so endearing to their fans. In concert, the band performs on the floor amidst the crowd, an intimacy that allows the audience to become part of their friendship.

After more than 15 years of rocking out, two quirky bassists found themselves around a messy table, with plenty of beer, two guitars, and a burning desire to conquer the world. In 2019, Rat surprised all the band's fans by announcing his return to the group with Burger, just like in the good old days. Now, the guys are more motivated than ever to write a brand new chapter in Matchup's story.
